Did you know that I have an online store, right here, on my website? Yep, I sure do! You can find it by clicking on the Shop tab in the menu above, or by clicking here. In my shop you will find a variety of different PDF patterns as will as some handmade things. Today I would like to give you a little tour of my shop and tell you a bit about what you can find here.
My patterns are available in four different categories – Clothing, Bags and Clutches, Softies and Free Patterns. Designing and making clothes has always been a strong passion of mine and you will find a variety of different styles of patterns available in the Clothing Patterns category. All of the patterns are designed by me and the patterns include Australian sizes 6 – 16. (You can read more about sizing here.) I put a huge amount of time, work and love into these patterns which feature a comprehensive instruction booklet that covers lots of basic skills as well as step by step instructions to make the garment. The patterns and instructions are both in PDF format so customers gain access to the files as soon as payment is made. (I only accept payment through PayPal, as I know it’s safe and secure for both you and me.)
I have been making my own clothes since I was quite young. Here are some reasons why I love making my own clothes:
- I love that it allows me greater creative expression.
- I can make sure things fit properly.
- I can make and wear whatever I like, rather than my fashion choices being limited to what’s currently trendy (I’m not heaps interested in following trends).
- Home made clothes are good quality!
- Making your own clothes encourages you to value them more, viewing fashion as being more personal and less disposable.
- When you make a garment yourself you can be confident that it hasn’t been made by underpaid workers in horrible sweatshop conditions.
- No-one else will be wearing the same thing as you!
- You can save a lot of money by making your own clothes.
- The creative process is satisfying and a lot of fun!
I have branched out to include a range of patterns for soft toys and handbags. I decided to do this because I realise that for people who may not have much sewing experience, it can be a bit intimidating to attempt to make clothing. The softie and bag patterns are stylish, simple and use less material than clothing, making them great affordable projects for beginners. Like with the clothing patterns, they also include detailed instruction booklets. I will be continually adding to the range of softie and bag patterns, so be sure to check back regularly, or subscribe to this blog to receive updates.
My shop also includes a few pretty handmade things to delight and inspire. I have a small range of fascinators and hair accessories that are all handmade and one-off designs. These are very special to me as it was my Great Auntie, a former milliner, who taught me how to make them. They are perfect to wear to a wedding, a day at the races or any other special occasion. Each design is a one-off, so once they’re gone, that’s it! Fascinators and hair accessories are carefully packaged in recycled boxes to protect them on their journey through the mail.
In the Bags category of my shop you will find a small range of handmade fabric tote bags. They can be folded up to a compact parcel to fit in your handbag so you never get caught without a shopping bag. I always keep one on me so I never have to use disposable plastic bags. Pretty and functional, these cotton bags make a lovely gift – I especially love the ones in the bird print fabric!
I hope you’ve enjoyed hearing more about my shop!

Cool. The skirt looks very cute. You might want to link the first image directly to your shop. I clicked on the dress patterns twice before realising it was jpeg and clicking was just maximising and minimising the image.
How awesome!! How cool would it be if we were all a bit more like you and made our own clothes??
