Tassels and Secrets

I have been so incredibly busy lately and my head is buzzing with about a billion different thoughts. In a good way, though. One of the things I’ve been busy doing is teaching myself how to make tassels. I love the tassels trend at the moment and I keep thinking of different things that I want to add tassels to! Tassels are just so much fun!

I made this tassel out of a faux suede with a special purpose in mind. But I’m not going to tell you what it is yet, because it’s a secret! I’ll show you when I’m finished though. I’m also busy working on some new designs, new patterns, some special sewing things for a client, bloggy things AND I’m planning a super special project that I’m really, really excited about. But I can’t tell you about that yet, either. Gosh, aren’t I being sneaky and secretive? You will have to stay tuned!

Okay, that’s enough secretive business for now. Back to tassels. Do you like tassels? I’ve seen some that are made from leather and suede and others made from silky thread. I don’t like the thread ones so much because they remind me of the things that you use to tie back curtains. But I really love the leather and suede tassels because they make me think of cool 70s folk that are so hip it hurts!

  1. Oooh! Love your tassel. And yes, you are being sneaky! I will have to wait now to find out what you are up to. Sigh. :D I think you should be persuaded to make a tutorial for the above tassel – not that I really have time to make one – but I can dream can’t I?
