Purple Dress, Goals and Bubble Tea

Spring is finally here and today is lovely and sunny and warm. It’s so sunny in fact, that my sunnies are absolutely necessary to prevent some serious squinting (and to prevent sun damage too, of course!) I am really excited about this spring and summer. There’s something about a new season that creates a sense of fresh beginnings, don’t you think?

Seeing all the new blossoms forming on the trees and smelling the sweet fragrance of the freesias growing in our backyard energises and inspires me. I have so many hopes, plans and goals, and now is as good a time as any to be trying to achieve them. Do you have lots of goals? Sometimes my goals are quite large, which can make them intimidating, so I like to break them down into lots of smaller, achievable steps. I write lots of lists to keep track of these things. It’s so very satisfying to be able to tick things off your list as you make progress.

Not all of my goals are big though. Some are little fun things, like trying something new. For example, one of my goals for this spring is to try bubble tea. Is it weird that I’ve never had it before? I want to try it. Do you like bubble tea? Do you have a favourite flavour you could recommend? I think it’s fun to try new things and have silly little goals like this, as well as big serious goals. Are you going to try something new this new season?

Anyway, all this talk of goals and tea doesn’t actually have anything to do with my outfit. I like this shirt dress because of the bold colour and the intricate tuck detailing on the front. The fabric is quite thin, so it’s reasonably cool to wear, but the sleeves add a bit of warmth making it great for tran-seasonal dressing. It was pretty cheap, too (bonus!). In fact, this whole outfit is very budget friendly.

Outfit details: Dress – Barkins, leggings and shoes – Target, belt – I can’t remember, (it was made locally in Adelaide though, I think), earrings – gifted, sunglasses – Ray Ban.

Bubble tea? I never heard this before!
I love the tucks of your shirt, they are so decorative.

I think the best bubble tea is taro milk tea with tapioca. There’s also great fruity flavours- I like pineapple or strawberry and you can get fruity flavoured jellies with them. They don’t sell bubble tea where I live, so whenever I go on vacation, I seek some out. It is sooooo good!
