I am so excited about this skirt and I intend to wear it a lot this summer! The Marion skirt is a fun and versatile skirt featuring a centre front button opening. The skirt is very lightly gathered giving a soft and flattering silhouette. Marion is designed to sit just a little bit below the natural waistline. The length of the skirt finishes above the knee (about mid-thigh), but it can be lengthened or shortened to suit your taste. This pattern is quite simple and is great if you want to learn how to sew on a waistband! It is available now in my online shop!
This pattern is suitable for use with light to medium weight woven fabrics and is unlined. The Marion skirt is rated as 2/5 – beginner to intermediate, being suitable for patient beginners. Please note that the pattern doesn’t include the fabric and notions required to make the skirt, but the instructional e-book contains all the information you need to work out your size, how much fabric you need, and of course how to sew your skirt. The pattern is available as a PDF document and a PDF instruction book both of which can be printed off using your home A4 colour printer. For more information, check out the listing for this skirt in my shop. I am wearing my Marion skirt with the Esther blouse (the pattern for this blouse is also available in my shop) in most of the photos and in the photo below I’ve teamed it with a simple white t-shirt from Just Jeans.
