I actually took these photos ages ago with the intention of posting them here, but alas, I forgot. So I didn’t actually go on a picnic today. I’m spending the day at my desk writing, photographing things, planning things and wishing I was having a picnic. For now I’ll have to make do with the memories…
There’s nothing like spending a sunny afternoon lounging around on a picnic blanket under the shade of a peppercorn tree in Adelaide’s Botanic Park. *sigh*
The Husbando and I had a lovely afternoon sipping bubbly and eating lots of delicious things like homemade, oven baked tomatoes and roasted capsicum. Yum!
Check out this nifty little thing. It’s a really useful fabric roll. I made it using a pattern from Pip’s first book, Meet me at Mike’s. I made it a little bit longer than the pattern to accommodate my tall cutlery. It proved itself to be really useful at keeping our cutlery all neat and safe when picnicking. I really love this book of Pip’s and I love her blog. Have you heard of it? I’m sure you have, because it’s very cool. She has also written another craft book which is on my (rather long) list of books to buy!
