You may have noticed of late that I have been rambling on about how much I am looking forward to spring and summer. Part of my longing for the change of season has involved dreaming up breezy new outfits. I had been eyeing off a few fabrics but was yet to make a purchase until I saw that Spotlight had a sale over the weekend with 40% off fabrics! 40% off! If there’s one thing I enjoy more than buying new fabric, it’s buying new fabric on sale!
Here’s what I bought:
A Japanese cotton lawn with a mustard and magenta floral print, a creamy coloured cotton voile, some light weight charcoal chambray and another Japanese lawn with a different, but equally as pretty, floral pattern. I had been hoping to buy a different print that I’d seen in the store a little while ago but it had sold out. Oh well! I’ve got a particular dress idea that I wanted to use it for so I was initially a tad disappointed, but then I found the pink/blue floral and I think I like it even more than the one I missed out on!
I love it how these floral fabrics have the colourway printed in little circles along the selvedge.
I’m not sure when I will find the time to actually use these fabrics, but I do have a few ideas in mind. I can’t wait to show you what I make with them!

…and I can not wait to see what you are going to make out of these very pretty fabrics.
Fabric shopping is always fun, I love chosing, figuring out what I could make, and finally the sound of the cissors: music!
