DIY Silk Bow Brooch

I have found myself suddenly obsessed with all things ultra girly. I think it started with this fluffy scarf and may also have something to do with the fact that I wear way too much black and grey when it’s cold. Regardless, I’m trying to bring a little bit of warmth and girly sparkle into my wardrobe and figured a bow brooch would be a good place to start. It’s also a great way to use up scraps of pretty fabric. I used some scraps of a pale pink silk dupion, which I’ve had lying around for years. I took heaps of photos as I made it so I’ll be posting a tutorial for it soon. Be sure to pop back later to take a look!

Edit: I have now written the tutorial for this brooch. Yay! Now you can make one too!

It is a really lovely and girly brooch, I am sure that you will wear it very much. Sometimes a little detail like this one can give a lot of pizzaz to any garment.
