This is another Christmas decoration DIY I did last year, so unfortunately I don’t have a full tutorial (this blog didn’t exist yet). Matt and I are pretty happy with our little Christmas tree as we’re not sure where we would put a large one. Most of the decorations (including the lights) came with the tree, but the little glittery baubles didn’t look like this to begin with. They were bright yellow thread covered baubles and looked a little tacky in my opinion, so I decided to transform them with some muted gold glitter I found in the cupboard.
It was as simple as painting tacky craft glue onto the bauble and then rolling it in a small tray of glitter. I hung them from a pen suspended between two pegs standing upright on a piece of paper (high tech, no?) to allow the glue to dry. You could use this technique to transform any old or cheap baubles to change their colour and give them a dose of glittery goodness!
