Last week I showed you some photos of two soft toys I was making. I finished them on the weekend and as promised, I took some photos to show you! I think they turned out pretty cute! They were for my friends’ twins, who had their first birthday party on the weekend. Because the twins are still so young I made sure the toys didn’t have any buttons or things that could be pulled off and might be unsafe.
I made the cat for my friends’ darling little girl and the cow for their adorable little boy. The hearts and the tops of the legs are made from velveteen (on the cat) and corduroy (on the cow) to add an interesting texture for the twins. Hopefully they will have lots of fun adventures with their cuddly new friends. As I mentioned when I showed you the toys when they were only half finished, I made them using patterns from Pip’s first book, Meet Me at Mikes. I would totally recommend it and you can check out her blog (and details about her books) here.
I also made the cards to match with the Mickey and Minnie theme of the party.
I was worried the cards were a little too simple, but when I showed Matt he loved them and suggested I show you how to make them. So stay tuned for the tutorial later this week!

Lovely toys, they are both funny and beautiful.
I like the details, like the cow’s ears or using two fabrics for the feet.
I will be very interested in your tutorial on how to make cards.
Good job!
This is like the CUTEST present I’ve EVER seen… O.O Now I feel like such a terrible older sister/cousin…
Those are too cute. I love the look and style of them. I also think that the cards are adorable. Simple is beautiful. I would love it if you would stop by and share at the link party going on right now at Lines Across My Face.
I hope to see you soon,
Rachel
