I am starting a new crochet project! It’s going to be a soft toy for a very little person I know. I’m a bit nervous about it because I’ve never crocheted anything shaped before. I can crochet granny squares and long straight scarves, but I’m yet to try anything with decreased or increased stitches. The instructions I’ll be following look quite clear, so hopefully it won’t be too tricky.
When I went to buy the wool I just had to have a quick peek at the fabric. As you may have noticed by now I have a bit of a thing for cute prints and I simply couldn’t resist this adorable Japanese lawn. It’s covered in tiny apples, pears and cherries! How sweet! I love the colours, too. I can’t wait to make something out of it. I’m thinking it would be perfect for a summery blouse even though the winter is fast approaching. Although given my current long list of things to do, I may not have time to sew it up until spring anyway!

That’s pretty fabric! Where did you buy it from?
It’s just from Spotlight.
A very nice fabric, a blouse would bring light and colour also to a winter day.
Too often I wear dark clothes in winter, but you are right, this would brighten a gloomy winter’s day.
