Blue-Grey and Plaid Outfit

Sometimes I just feel like wearing super comfy, loose fitting clothes and today is one of those days. That doesn’t mean that I want to look sloppy though. I think this outfit manages to retain a certain level of polish, while still satisfying my desire for comfort. The top is made from a silk/cotton blend and it is soooo soft and lovely!

As for the shoes, I mentioned a while ago that I’m not really happy with how they look and I want to dress them up a bit with some DIY. Well guess what? I completely forgot about them and haven’t done anything yet! Oops. What I’m planning on doing is removing the current bows and replacing them with larger fabric bows. The thing is I can decide whether to sew (or glue) the bows directly onto the shoe, or whether to glue the bow to a small square of velcro and glue the corresponding piece of velcro to the shoe. If I use velcro I could make different colour bows, fabric flowers etc that I could swap around to create different looks with the one pair of shoes. What do you think?

Why not use a clip (like a pair of earring)? In this way you could change the bows to suit your outfit. By the way, this one is very nice, relaxed, classical but with some zest.
